CANTILEVER ING
CANTILEVERS: (According to Wikipedia) A beam anchored at only one end. The beam carries the load to the support where it is forced against by a moment and shear stress. CANTILEVER construction allows for overhanging structures without external bracing. Bridges, trusses, balconies and Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater are some examples of the use of cantilevers.
natalini's JEWELRY ART illustration PETRA is an example of a cantilever.
CANTILEVERS are also present in business and family life...there is the strength, "the glue" or the "go to" person, the adventurous, free-spirit that ventures or juts out with confidence, yet needs the security of the supported structure and the beauty and brains that allows for function with an aesthetic quality. The many moving parts depend on one another just as a family or a business.
Think about the many CANTILEVERS that are present in every day life encounters and realize that everyone is someone's CANTILEVER.

Abstract Art in 20ish Words or Less.
Ever look at abstract art and say, "What the...? What is that? Did a three year make this mess? I could have done that!" There are numerous facial expressions and hand gestures that accompany these thoughts.
There is one little secret about abstract art? Want to hear it?...here it goes.
One secret to the perception of abstract art is that it is all about the state of mind of the artist in the moment of it's creation. Follow the lines and follow the emotional journey of the artist. There is freedom and a release in the strokes and communication in the colors. This is a raw glimpse into the soul of an artist. It is not that complicated.
Are you jealous now? If so, you too can create your own abstract art just as your quandaried mind and scrunchy-face blurted out at the museum, "I could do that."
Here is how to go from hater to creator. Grab a piece of paper, wood, canvas or what ever you desire. Then, reach for a pencil, marker, paint, again, what ever you desire. The most important part is to blindfold yourself to eliminate judgement while your mind and hand(s) move their way to a sense of freedom. No peaking. Finally, frame it and put it in a personal space where you can enjoy it until you are comfortable for others to view your abstract masterpiece.
You're welcome.
Fixed Motion-Visual Movement
Fixed Motion-Visual Movement is expressed in the piece "Midge." The elements are in place, but are placed in such a way that they imply motion without actual movement of the individual pieces. This is visual movement. "Midge's," inspiration came from the desire to capture something three-dimensional in movement without motion much like a photograph. It implies, which forces the imagination to take over and finish the story.
Alexander Calder, sculptor, artist and jewelry designer was famous for creating mobiles that have been in motion since their completion that has lasted beyond their creator's existence. For a creator to have their work in kinetic motion is simply brilliant. Perpetual inspiration from generation to generation, what a wonderful gift!
Minimalism + Abstract Expressionism =
We are gathered here today to celebrate the marriage of Minimalism and Abstract Expressionism. Minimalism, do you take Abstract Expressionism as your elemental design partner to add just the right amount of curve and texture to your sleek foundation? Abstract Expressionism, do you take Minimalism to stand as your foundation and add the necessary movement while keeping your overly spontaneous tendencies grounded?
I now pronounce you Minimal Abstract Expressionism-Natalini.
Go forth and create beautiful, yet functional jewelry.
This union of design periods has come together in the form of jewelry in the 2000s. The principles of Minimalism are the form and function to Abstract Expressionism's passionate twists and curves. The success of this marriage depends on balance, flexibility and allowance.
COMPOSIZIONE
Composition is the language of elements captured in a frame. One element relies on the other to communicate where one leaves off and the other begins. Composition creates a perfect partnership in space. Even an untrained eye knows it when it sees it. Composition equals balance which includes being light and dark, heavy and smooth, classic and modern, bliss and strife… Composition is also a bridge or a mediator of subjects.
Composition is always in view and can be learned over time by standing back and observing all of the many elements that are joined in a pan around. See the dance of elements and capture them with a click or a brush.
