What the...
Abstract Art in 20ish Words or Less.
Ever look at abstract art and say, "What the...? What is that? Did a three year make this mess? I could have done that!" There are numerous facial expressions and hand gestures that accompany these thoughts.
There is one little secret about abstract art? Want to hear it?...here it goes.
One secret to the perception of abstract art is that it is all about the state of mind of the artist in the moment of it's creation. Follow the lines and follow the emotional journey of the artist. There is freedom and a release in the strokes and communication in the colors. This is a raw glimpse into the soul of an artist. It is not that complicated.
Are you jealous now? If so, you too can create your own abstract art just as your quandaried mind and scrunchy-face blurted out at the museum, "I could do that."
Here is how to go from hater to creator. Grab a piece of paper, wood, canvas or what ever you desire. Then, reach for a pencil, marker, paint, again, what ever you desire. The most important part is to blindfold yourself to eliminate judgement while your mind and hand(s) move their way to a sense of freedom. No peaking. Finally, frame it and put it in a personal space where you can enjoy it until you are comfortable for others to view your abstract masterpiece.
You're welcome.
